Part name	Description
Display unit	Display image is controlled by AV control unit via serial communication. RGB and RGB digital image signals are input from AV control unit. Composite image signals are input from AV control unit. Synchronizing signals are output to AV control unit. Touch panel function can be operated by touching display directly.
Multifunction switch	Operation panel is equipped with the centralized switch where navigation and INFINITI CONNECTIONS, etc. operations are integrated. Operation signal is transmitted via AV communication to AV control unit.
AV control unit	Connected to telematics control unit (TCU) via USB harness. Sends and receives the signals necessary for telematics functions. Switch operation signals used for the telematics system are transmitted to TCU via USB communication. GPS signal is sent to TCU via USB harness.
Microphone	Used for voice recognition function. Used for Infiniti Connection™ Response service of Infiniti Connection™. Telematics control unit (TCU) supplies power to the microphone. An audio signal is transmitted to TCU during speech.
Telematics switch	Located on the map lamp assembly. Connected to telematics control unit (TCU) and transmits an operation signal. State of LED (ON/Blink/OFF) indicates status of SOS call.
Telematics control unit (TCU)	Connected to the AV control unit via USB harness for sound signal input/output and USB communication. VIN information necessary for telematics service is memorized. Connected to air bag diagnosis sensor unit via CAN communication, the TCU performs an emergency report when an air bag is inflated. Audio signals received during SOS/Infiniti Connection™ Response Specialists call are transmitted from TCU to each speaker via the AV control unit. During communication with Infiniti Connection™ Data Center and Infiniti Connection™ Response Center, the TCU prohibits the use of Bluetooth™ hands-free phone.
Telematics antenna	Transmits and receives data communication and voice signals for telematics control unit (TCU). Power is supplied with TCU activated.
GPS antenna	Amplifies radio waves received from the GPS satellite and transmits GPS signal to AV control unit. Power is supplied from AV control unit. GPS signal is sent from AV control unit to telematics control unit (TCU) via USB harness.
