Initialization Procedure

If the Monrovia does not open or close automatically, use the following procedure to return Monrovia operation to normal.

1. Place the ignition switch in the ON position.
   NOTE:

   It is best if engine is running during initialization.

2. Fully close the Monrovia glass and sunshade by pressing the Monrovia switch in the close position.
   NOTE:

   If required, bump the Monrovia switch repeatedly until the Monrovia glass and sunshade are completely closed (not in tilt-up position).

3. Press and hold the close switch until the Monrovia glass and sunshade operate through several small movements (10 - 20 seconds).
4. Once the Monrovia has been motionless for 5 seconds, release the close switch and quickly (within less than a second) press and hold the close switch again. The Monrovia glass will cycle to full open and back to close. Hold the close switch until both the Monrovia glass and sunshade have completed their movement, then release the close switch.
5. Verify Monrovia and sunshade operation by tilting the Monrovia glass to vent, opening and closing the Monrovia and sunshade.
   NOTE:

   Repeat this procedure if the Monrovia and/or sunshade still do not operate normally. It may be necessary to repeat the procedure up to 5 times. After 5 tries, if the Monrovia and/or sunshade still do not operate normally, clear the memory by holding the Monrovia switch in the open position for 15 seconds. Then, close the Monrovia and sunshade and repeat the initialization procedure.
