Diagnostic Test

- CHECK ICC STEERING SWITCH CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check the voltage between ECM harness connector terminals under the following conditions.
ECM Condition Voltage (V) Connector + - Terminal E32 134 135 ON/OFF (MAIN) switch: Pressed Approx. 0 CANCEL switch: Pressed Approx. 1.0 COAST/SET switch: Pressed Approx. 1.9 ACCEL/RES switch: Pressed Approx. 2.6 DYNAMIC DRIVE ASSISTANCE switch: Pressed Approx. 3.2 DISTANCE switch: Pressed Approx. 3.7 All ICC steering switches: Released Approx. 4.2
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Check intermittent incident. Refer to INTERMITTENT INCIDENT .
NO
GO TO STEP 2 .
- CHECK ICC STEERING SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect ECM harness connector.
- Disconnect combination switch harness connector M149.
- Check the continuity between combination switch and ECM harness connector.
Combination switch ECM Continuity Terminal Connector Terminal 16 E32 135 Existed - Also check harness for short to ground and short to power.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 3 .
NO
Repair or replace error-detected parts.
- CHECK ICC STEERING SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT
- Check the continuity between combination switch and ECM harness connector.
Combination switch ECM Continuity Terminal Connector Terminal 13 E32 134 Existed - Also check harness for short to ground and short to power.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 4 .
NO
Repair or replace error-detected parts.
- Check the continuity between combination switch and ECM harness connector.
- CHECK ICC STEERING SWITCH
Check ICC steering switch. Refer to COMPONENT INSPECTION (ICC STEERING SWITCH) .
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Check intermittent incident. Refer to INTERMITTENT INCIDENT .
NO
Replace ICC steering switch. Refer to COMPONENT PARTS LOCATION .
