Work Procedure

WARNING:

Be careful of traffic conditions and safety around the vehicle when performing road test.

CAUTION:

Fully understand the following items well before the road test;

Precautions: Refer to PRECAUTION FOR BACKUP COLLISION INTERVENTION .
System description for Backup Collision Intervention: Refer to SYSTEM DESCRIPTION .
Normal operating condition: Refer to DESCRIPTION .

CHECK BCI SYSTEM SETTING
1. Start the engine.
2. Check that the BCI system setting can be enabled/disabled in the meter setting.
3. Turn OFF the ignition switch and wait for 30 seconds or more.
4. Check that the previous setting is saved when the engine starts again.
GO TO STEP 2 .

ACTION TEST FOR BCI

Enable the setting of the BCI system in the meter setting.
Turn BCI OFF switch OFF (Backup Collision Intervention system ON indicator is ON).

Check the BCI operation according to the following table.

NOTE:

After the operating conditions of warning are satisfied, the warning continues until the vehicle speed reaches a speed above 5 MPH (8 km/h). Refer to SYSTEM DESCRIPTION .

GO TO STEP 3 .

CHECK BCI SYSTEM SETTING
1. Start the engine.
2. Check that the BCI system setting can be enabled/disabled on the navigation screen.
3. Turn OFF the ignition switch and wait for 30 seconds or more.
4. Check that the previous setting is saved when the engine starts again.
GO TO STEP 4 .

ACTION TEST FOR BCI

Enable the setting of the BCI system on the navigation screen.
Turn BCI OFF switch OFF (BCI ON indicator lamp is ON).

Check the BCI operation according to the following table.

The BCI system is turned off temporarily by pushing the BCI switch. The BCI OFF display appears on the meter display. When the selector lever is switched into R again the BCI system is turned on.	OFF	-	Courtesy of NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC.

NOTE:

After the operating conditions are satisfied, the control continues until the vehicle reaches a speed above approximately 5 MPH (8 km/h). Refer to SYSTEM DESCRIPTION .
