Diagnosis Procedure
- CHECK CONNECTOR
Check combination meter, unified meter and A/C amp. and terminals (combination meter side, unified meter and A/C amp. side, and harness side) for looseness or bent.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 2.
NO
Repair terminal or connector.
- CHECK CONTINUITY COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect combination meter connector and unified meter and A/C amp. connector.
- Check continuity between combination meter harness connector terminal and unified meter and A/C amp. harness connector terminal.
Combination meter Unified meter and A/C amp. Continuity Connector Terminals Connector Terminals M53 24 M66 14 Existed 25 34 - Check continuity between combination meter harness connector terminal and ground.
Combination meter Ground Continuity Connector Terminals M53 24 Not existed 25
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 3.
NO
Repair harness or connector.
- CHECK UNIFIED METER AND A/C AMP. OUTPUT VOLTAGE
- Connect unified meter and A/C amp. connector.
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check voltage between unified meter and A/C amp. harness connector terminal and ground.
Terminal Voltage
(Approx.)(+) (-) Unified meter and A/C amp. Connector Terminal M66 14 Ground 12 V
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO STEP 4.
NO
Replace unified meter and A/C amp.
- CHECK COMBINATION METER OUTPUT VOLTAGE
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect unified meter and A/C amp. connector.
- Connect combination meter connector.
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check voltage between combination meter harness connector terminal and ground.
Terminal Voltage
(Approx.)(+) (-) Combination meter Connector Terminal M53 25 Ground 5 V
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
INSPECTION END
NO
Replace combination meter.
