Chime Does Not Sound: Description

Symptom check: In the following conditions, the warning chime may not sound even if the vehicle distance is short.

• When the vehicles are traveling at the same speed and the distance between vehicles is not changing.
• When the vehicle ahead is traveling faster and the distance between vehicles is increasing.
• The warning chime will not sound when the accelerator pedal is depressed, overriding the system.
• The warning chime will not sound when own vehicle approaches vehicles that are parked or moving slowly.
• The warning chime does not sound when the system does not detect any vehicle ahead. (Diagnose the conditions under which the system is detecting the vehicle ahead and when the system is malfunctioning. If there is any malfunction in detecting the vehicle ahead, check the system following the DESCRIPTION .)
