Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK OIL PRESSURE WARNING LAMP

    Perform auto active test. Refer to DIAGNOSIS DESCRIPTION .

    Is oil pressure warning lamp illuminated?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 2. 

    NO 

    GO TO STEP 5. 

  2. CHECK IPDM E/R OUTPUT VOLTAGE

    1. Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector.
    2. Turn ignition switch ON.
    3. Check voltage between the oil pressure switch harness connector terminal 1 and ground.
      Terminal Voltage
      (Approx.)
      (+) (-)
      Oil pressure switch
      Connector Terminal
      F37 1 Ground 12 V

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 3. 

    NO 

    GO TO STEP 4. 

  3. CHECK OIL PRESSURE SWITCH UNIT

    Perform a unit check for the oil pressure switch. Refer to COMPONENT INSPECTION .

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    NO 

    Replace oil pressure switch.

  4. CHECK OIL PRESSURE SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT

    Check the oil pressure switch signal circuit. Refer to DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE .

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    GO TO STEP 5. 

    NO 

    Repair harness or connector.

  5. CHECK UNIFIED METER AND A/C AMP. INPUT SIGNAL

    Connect CONSULT and perform an input signal check for the unified meter and A/C amp. Refer to COMPONENT FUNCTION CHECK .

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES 

    Replace combination meter.

    NO 

    Replace BCM. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
