Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to "WIRING DIAGRAM ".

1. CHECK HAZARD SWITCH SIGNAL INPUT 
   1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
   2. Disconnect A/C and A/V switch assembly harness connector M98.
   3. Turn ignition switch ON.
   4. Check voltage between A/C and A/V switch assembly harness connector M98 and ground.

      (+)		(-)	Voltage (Approx.)
      A/C and A/V switch assembly (hazard switch)
      Connector	Terminal
      M98	16	Ground

      Is the inspection result normal? 

      YES: GO TO  4.

      NO: GO TO 2.

2. CHECK HAZARD SWITCH SIGNAL OPEN CIRCUIT 
   1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
   2. Disconnect BCM harness connector M18.
   3. Check continuity between A/C and A/V switch assembly harness connector and BCM harness connector.

      Hazard switch		BCM		Continuity
      Connector	Terminal	Connector	Terminal
      M98	16	M18	36	Yes

      Is the inspection result normal? 

      YES: GO TO 3.

      NO: Repair or replace the harness or connectors.

3. CHECK HAZARD SWITCH SIGNAL SHORT CIRCUIT 

   Check continuity between A/C and A/V switch assembly harness connector and ground.

   Hazard switch		Ground	Continuity
   Connector	Terminal
   M98	16		No

   Is the inspection result normal? 

   YES: Replace BCM. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".

   NO: Repair or replace the harness or connectors.

4. CHECK HAZARD SWITCH GROUND OPEN CIRCUIT 

   Check continuity between A/C and A/V switch assembly harness connector and ground.

   Hazard switch		Ground	Continuity
   Connector	Terminal
   M98	1		Yes

   Is the inspection result normal? 

   YES: Replace A/C and A/V switch assembly. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".

   NO: Repair or replace the harness or connectors.
