Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative and positive battery terminals, then wait at least three minutes.
  2. Remove the instrument side finishers (LH/RH) (1) using a suitable tool.

  3. Remove the front kicking plates (LH/RH). Refer to "KICKING PLATE: REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - FRONT KICKING PLATE ".
  4. Remove the front pillar finishers (LH/RH). Refer to "FRONT PILLAR FINISHER: REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
  5. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
  6. Remove the combination switch. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
  7. Remove the center console assembly. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
  8. Remove the combination meter. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
  9. Remove the AV control unit. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - AV CONTROL UNIT " (BASE AUDIO), "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - AV CONTROL UNIT " (BOSE AUDIO W/O SURROUND SOUND), "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - AV CONTROL UNIT " (BOSE AUDIO WITH SURROUND SOUND) or "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - AV CONTROL UNIT " (TELEMATICS SYSTEM).
  10. Remove the front display unit (if equipped). Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION " (BASE AUDIO), "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION " (BOSE AUDIO W/O SURROUND SOUND), "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION " (BOSE AUDIO WITH SURROUND SOUND).
  11. Remove the glove box assembly. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
  12. Disconnect the harness connector from the front passenger air bag module.
  13. Remove the instrument panel tweeter grilles (LH/RH/) and center speaker grille.
  14. Remove the instrument panel bolt (A) from the instrument panel tweeter grille RH area.

  15. Disconnect the harness connector from the center speaker.
  16. Disconnect the antenna cable.
  17. Remove the instrument panel assembly.
