Removal and Installation: Removal

Remove the driver air bag module. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
Disconnect the steering horn switch harness connector (A).

Remove the steering wheel. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
Remove the steering column cover.
- A/T models: Refer to "A/T MODELS : REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
- M/T models: Refer to "M/T MODELS : REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
Remove the spiral cable fixing screws.
Pull out forward the spiral cable and steering angle sensor.
Disconnect the spiral cable body side harness connectors (A).
NOTE: Disconnect the spiral cable body side harness connector after removing the spiral cable.

Remove the steering angle sensor. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".

CAUTION:

Never impact the spiral cable.
Replace the spiral cable if it has been dropped or sustained an impact.

Never disassemble the spiral cable.
Never apply lubricant to the spiral cable.
Never allow oil, grease, detergent, or water to come in contact with the spiral cable.
