Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK LICENSE PLATE LAMP BULB

    Check the applicable lamp bulb.

    Is the bulb normal? 

    YES: GO TO 2.

    NO: Replace the bulb.

  2. CHECK LICENSE PLATE LAMP OPEN CIRCUIT
    1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect IPDM E/R connector and the license plate lamp connector.
    3. Check continuity between the IPDM E/R harness connector and the license plate lamp harness connector.
      CONTINUITY REFERENCE CHART

      IPDM E/R License plate lamp Continuity
      Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
      RH E5 7 B93 1 Existed
      LH B92 1

      Does continuity exist? 

      YES: GO TO 3.

      NO: Repair the harnesses or connectors.

  3. CHECK LICENSE PLATE LAMP GROUND OPEN CIRCUIT

    Check continuity between the license plate lamp harness connector and the ground.

    LH B92 2

    Does continuity exist? 

    YES: Replace the license plate lamp.

    NO: Repair the harnesses or connectors.
