Diagnosis Procedure
- CHECK HAZARD SWITCH SIGNAL INPUT
With operating the hazard switch, check the voltage between the BCM harness connector and the ground.
VOLTAGE REFERENCE CHARTTerminals Condition Voltage (Approx.) (+) (-) BCM Ground Hazard switch Connector Terminal M122 110 While pressing the switch 0 V While not pressing the switch Is the measurement value normal?
YES: Replace BCM.
NO: GO TO 2.
- CHECK HAZARD SWITCH SIGNAL OPEN CIRCUIT
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the multifunction switch connector and BCM connector.
- Check continuity between the multifunction switch harness connector and the BCM harness connector.CONTINUITY REFERENCE CHART
Multifunction switch BCM Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal M72 16 M122 110 Existed Does continuity exist?
YES: GO TO 3.
NO: Repair the harnesses or connectors.
- CHECK HAZARD SWITCH SIGNAL SHORT CIRCUIT
Check continuity between the multifunction switch harness connector and the ground.
CONTINUITY REFERENCE CHARTMultifunction switch Ground Continuity Connector Terminal M72 16 Not existed Does continuity exist?
YES: Repair the harnesses or connectors.
NO: GO TO 4.
- CHECK HAZARD SWITCH GROUND OPEN CIRCUIT
Check continuity between the multifunction switch harness connector and the ground.
CONTINUITY REFERENCE CHARTMultifunction switch Ground Continuity Connector Terminal M72 1 Existed Does continuity exist?
YES: Replace the hazard switch (multifunction switch).
NO: Repair the harnesses or connectors.
