Removal and Installation: Removal

Put selector lever in drive position.
Remove selector lever knob.
- Refer to "2WD : Removal And Installation ". (2WD models)
- Refer to "AWD : Removal And Installation ". (AWD models)
Remove console finisher assembly.
- Pull console finisher (1), upward to disengage from center console.
- Disconnect harness connectors.

Disconnect console sub harness connectors (A).
Remove center console fixing screws (B).

Put front seat to front must position.
Remove console rear finisher.
- Pull back the console rear finisher (1) with remover tool (A).
- Disconnect inside key antenna connector.

Remove rear ventilator duct (1).
Refer to "Rear Ventilator Duct 2 : Removal And Installation ".
Remove center console fixing screws (A).

Remove center console assembly.
- Lift up center console assembly back side.
- Disconnect harness connectors.
Put front seat to rear most position.
Remove instrument side finisher LH.
- Insert a remover tool into lower space.
- Pull the instrument side finisher LH (1) crosswise.

Remove instrument lower panel LH.
- Remove hood opener lever fixing bolts (A).
- Pull back instrument lower panel LH (1).
- Remove skirt clips of steering column lower cover (2).
- Release data link connector (pawl) then remove it from instrument lower panel LH.
- Disconnect harness connectors and aspirator duct.

Remove steering wheel. Refer to "Removal And Installation ".
Remove steering column covers.
- Remove steering column mask (1).
- Remove steering column cover fixing screws (A).
- Pull up steering column upper cover (2).
- Remove cluster lid A (4) fixing clips and pawls, and then remove steering column upper cover.
- Pull down steering column lower cover (3), and then remove steering column lower cover.
- Disconnect ADP steering switch connector. (with ADP)

Remove combination switch. Refer to "Removal And Installation ".
Remove cluster lid A (upper).
- Pull back cluster lid A (upper) (1), and disengage pawls and metal clips.
- Remove cluster lid A (upper).

Remove cluster lid A.
- Remove cluster lid A (1) fixing screws (A).
- Pull back cluster lid A, and disengage metal clips.
- Remove cluster lid A.

Remove combination meter. Refer to "Removal And Installation ".
Remove instrument harness (1) fixing clips (A).

Disconnect trip A/B reset switch (1) harness connector (A).
Refer to "Exploded View ".

Remove front body side welt LH. Refer to "Removal And Installation ".
Remove front pillar garnish LH. Refer to "Removal And Installation ".
Disconnect antenna connectors (A).
Remove harness clip (B).

Remove speaker grille LH.
- Pull up and back speaker grille LH (1).
- Disconnect front squawker harness connector.

Remove center speaker grille.
- Disengage center speaker grille (1) fixing clips and pawls with remover tool (A).
- Pull up center speaker grille.

Remove center speaker. (with BOSE AUDIO) Refer to "Exploded View ".
Remove instrument side panel LH.
- Remove instrument side panel LH (1) fixing screws (A).
- Pull toward the arrow direction.

Remove inside key antenna. Refer to "Instrument Center : Removal And Installation ".
Remove harness connector bracket (1) fixing screw (A).

Remove cluster lid C.
- Remove cluster lid C (1) fixing screws (A).
- Pull down and back cluster lid C.
- Disconnect harness connectors.

Remove cluster lid D.
- Remove cluster lid D (1) fixing screws (A).
- Pull back cluster lid D.
- Disconnect harness connectors.

Remove display unit.
- Remove display unit (1) fixing screws (A).
- Pull toward the arrow direction.
- Disconnect harness connectors.

Remove AV control unit.
Refer to "Removal And Installation ".
- Remove AV control unit (1) fixing screws (A).
- Pull back AV control unit.
- Disconnect harness connectors.

Remove push button ignition switch. Refer to "Removal And Installation ".
Remove front defroster grille LH. Refer to "Front Defroster Grille : Removal And Installation ".
Remove front defroster grille RH. Refer to "Front Defroster Grille : Removal And Installation ".
Remove instrument side finisher RH.
- Insert a remover tool into lower space.
- Pull the instrument side finisher RH (1) crosswise.

Remove glove box assembly.
- Open the glove box.
- Pull back glove box assembly (1).

- Remove damper pin (1) of left side.

Remove instrument lower cover.
- Pull downward, disengaged pawls.
- Pull back instrument lower cover (1).
- Disconnect illumination lamp harness connector.

Remove instrument lower panel RH.
- Remove instrument lower panel RH (1) fixing screws (A).
- Pull back instrument lower panel RH.
- Disconnect glove box lamp harness connector.

Disconnect front passenger air bag module connector. Refer to "Exploded View ".
Remove front passenger air bag module fixing bolt. Refer to "Removal And Installation ".
Remove instrument side panel RH.
- Remove instrument side panel RH (1) fixing screws (A).
- Pull toward the arrow direction.

Remove front body side welt RH. Refer to "Removal And Installation ".
Remove front pillar garnish RH. Refer to "Removal And Installation ".
Remove speaker grille RH.
- Pull up and back tweeter grille RH (1).
- Disconnect front squawker harness connector.

Remove instrument panel assembly mounting bolts (A), screws (B) and clips (C).

CAUTION: Cover tool with a shop cloth to prevent windshield glass being damaged.
Remove instrument panel assembly.
CAUTION:
- Cover center console upper surface with a shop cloth to prevent it from being damaged.
- When removing instrument panel assembly, 2 workers are required so as to prevent it from dropping.
Remove the following parts after removing instrument panel assembly.
- Front passenger air bag module. Refer to "Removal And Installation ".
- Center ventilator grille LH/RH. Refer to "Center Ventilator Grille : Removal And Installation ".
- Side ventilator grille LH/RH. Refer to "Side Ventilator Grille : Removal And Installation ".
- Ventilator duct LH/RH. Refer to "Ventilator Duct : Removal And Installation ".
- Adaptor duct. Refer to "Adaptor Duct : Removal And Installation ".
- Defroster nozzle. Refer to "Defroster Nozzle : Removal And Installation ".
- Side defroster nozzle LH/RH. Refer to "Side Defroster Nozzle : Removal And Installation ".
- Antenna feeder. Refer to "Harness Layout ".
- GPS antenna. Refer to "Removal And Installation ".
- Trip A/B reset switch. Refer to "Removal And Installation ".
