Diagnosis Procedure
- CHECK OIL PRESSURE WARNING LAMP
Perform auto active test. Refer to "DIAGNOSIS DESCRIPTION ".
Is oil pressure warning lamp illuminated?
YES: GO TO 2.
NO: GO TO 5.
- CHECK IPDM E/R OUTPUT VOLTAGE
- Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector.
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check voltage between the oil pressure switch harness connector terminal 1 and ground.
1 - Ground : Approx. 12 V
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 3.
NO: GO TO 4.
- CHECK OIL PRESSURE SWITCH UNIT
Perform a unit inspection for the oil pressure switch. Refer to , "COMPONENT INSPECTION ".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
NO: Replace oil pressure switch.
- CHECK OIL PRESSURE SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT
Inspect the oil pressure switch signal circuit. Refer to , "DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE ".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 5.
NO: Repair harness or connector.
- CHECK UNIFIED METER AND A/C AMP. INPUT SIGNAL
Connect CONSULT-III and perform an input signal inspection for the unified meter and A/C amp. Refer to , "COMPONENT FUNCTION CHECK ".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: Replace combination meter.
NO: Replace BCM. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
