Front Door Lock Assembly LH (Key Cylinder Switch) Check

With CONSULT-II

Check front door lock assembly LH (key cylinder switch) ("KEY CYL LK-SW") and ("KEY CYL UN-SW") in DATA MONITOR mode in CONSULT-II. Refer to "DATA MONITOR ".

• When key inserted in front key cylinder is turned to LOCK:
  1. KEY CYL LK-SW: ON 
• When key inserted in front key cylinder is turned to UNLOCK:
  1. KEY CYL UN-SW: ON

Without CONSULT-II

Check voltage between main power window and door lock/unlock switch connector D7 terminals 4, 6 and ground.

OK or NG

1. OK: Front door lock assembly LH (key cylinder switch) signal is OK.
2. NG: GO TO 2.

1. Turn ignition switch off.
2. Disconnect front door lock assembly LH (key cylinder switch).
3. Check continuity between front door lock assembly LH (key cylinder switch) terminals 1, 5 and 6.

OK or NG

1. OK: Check the following.
   • Front door lock assembly LH (key cylinder switch) ground circuit.
   • Harness for open or short between main power window and door lock/unlock switch and front door lock assembly LH (key cylinder switch).
2. NG: Replace front door lock assembly LH (key cylinder switch). Refer to "FRONT DOOR LOCK ".
