Thickness Inspection

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Infiniti QX56. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Using a micrometer, check thickness of disc rotor. If thickness is either at or below the wear limit, or exceeds maximum uneven wear, replace disc rotor.

  1. Standard thickness: 14.0 mm (0.551 in)
  2. Wear limit: 12.0 mm (0.472 in)
  3. Maximum uneven wear (measured at 8 positions): 0.015 mm (0.0006 in)
