Parking, License Plate and Tail Lamps Do Not Illuminate

With CONSULT-II

Select BCM on CONSULT-II. With HEAD LAMP data monitor, make sure LIGHT SW 1 ST turns ON-OFF linked with operation of lighting switch.

When lighting switch is 1ST: LIGHT SW 1 ST ON position 

Without CONSULT-II

Refer to COMBINATION SWITCH INSPECTION .

OK or NG

1. OK: Go to 2.
2. NG: Check lighting switch. Refer to COMBINATION SWITCH INSPECTION .

With CONSULT-II

1. Select IPDM E/R on CONSULT-II. and select ACTIVE TEST on SELECT DIAG MODE screen.
2. Select TAIL LAMP on SELECT TEST ITEM screen.

3. Touch ON screen.
4. Make sure parking, license plate, side marker and tail lamp operation.

   Parking, license plate, side marker and tail lamp should operate  .

Without CONSULT-II

1. Start auto active test.
2. Make sure parking, license plate, side marker and tail lamp operation.

   Parking, license plate, side marker and tail lamp should operate  .

OK or NG

1. OK: Go to 3.
2. NG: Go to  4.

1. Select IPDM E/R on CONSULT-II. and select DATA MONITOR on SELECT DIAG MODE screen.

2. Make sure TAIL & CLR REQ turns ON when lighting switch is in 1 ST position.

   When lighting switch is 1st position: TAIL & CLR REQ ON  .

OK or NG

1. OK: Replace IPDM E/R.
2. NG: Replace BCM . See REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF BCM .

With CONSULT-II

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect front side marker, clearance lamp, license plate lamp and rear combination lamp connectors.
3. Select IPDM E/R on CONSULT-II. and select ACTIVE TEST on SELECT DIAG MODE screen.
4. Select TAIL LAMP on SELECT TEST ITEM screen.
5. Touch ON screen.
6. When tail lamp is operating, check voltage between front side marker lamp, clearance lamp, license plate lamp, rear combination lamp harness connector and ground.

Without CONSULT-II

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect front combination lamp RH and LH connector.
3. Start auto active test.
4. When tail lamp is operating, check voltage between front side marker lamp, clearance lamp, license plate lamp, rear combination lamp harness connector and ground.

OK or NG

1. OK: Go to  6.
2. NG: Go to 5.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect IPDM E/R connector.
3. Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and front side marker lamp harness connector.

4. Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and clearance lamp harness connector.

5. Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and license plate lamp harness connector.

6. Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and license plate lamp harness connector.

2. NG: Repair harness or connector.

1. OK: Check bulb.
2. NG: Repair harness or connector.
