Diagnostic Procedure
- CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS
Execute self-diagnosis.
Do the self-diagnostic results indicate A/T fluid temperature sensor, engine speed signal, accelerator pedal position sensor, ATF pressure switch 1, front brake solenoid valve, CAN communication line?
- Yes >> Check the malfunctioning system. Refer to "DTC P1710 A/T FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT ", "DTC P0725 ENGINE SPEED SIGNAL ", "DTC P1705 THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR ", "DTC P1841 ATF PRESSURE SWITCH 1 ", "DTC P1757 FRONT BRAKE SOLENOID VALVE " "DTC P1757 FRONT BRAKE SOLENOID VALVE ", "DTC U1000 CAN COMMUNICATION LINE ".
- No >> GO TO 2.
- ENGINE IDLE SPEED
Check the engine idle speed. Refer to "IDLE SPEED AND IGNITION TIMING CHECK".
OK or NG
- OK >> GO TO 3.
- NG >> Repair.
- CHECK CONTROL LINKAGE
Check the control linkage.
- Refer to "CHECKING OF A/T POSITION ".
OK or NG
- OK >> GO TO 4.
- NG >> Adjust control linkage. Refer to "ADJUSTMENT OF A/T POSITION ".
- CHECK A/T FLUID LEVEL
Check the A/T fluid level again. Refer to "CHECKING A/T FLUID ".
OK or NG
- OK >> GO TO 5.
- NG >> Refill ATF.
- CHECK LINE PRESSURE
Check line pressure at idle with selector lever in "D" position. Refer to "LINE PRESSURE TEST ".
OK or NG
- DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM
- Control valve assembly. Refer to "CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY ".
- Disassemble A/T. Refer to "DISASSEMBLY ".
- Check the following items:
- Oil pump assembly. Refer to "OIL PUMP ".
OK or NG
- OK >> GO TO 8.
- NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
- DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM
- Control valve assembly. Refer to "CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY ".
- Disassemble A/T. Refer to "DISASSEMBLY ".
- Check the following items:
- Oil pump assembly. Refer to "OIL PUMP ".
- Power train system. Refer to "DISASSEMBLY ".
- Transmission case. Refer to "DISASSEMBLY ".
OK or NG
- OK >> GO TO 8.
- NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
- CHECK A/T FLUID CONDITION
- Remove oil pan. Refer to "CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY ".
- Check A/T fluid condition.
OK or NG
- OK >> GO TO 9.
- NG >> GO TO 12.
- DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM
- Check the malfunction items. If any items are damaged, repair or replace damaged parts. Refer to "SYMPTOM CHART ".
OK or NG
- OK >> GO TO 10.
- NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
- CHECK SYMPTOM
Check again.
OK or NG
- OK >> INSPECTION END
- NG >> GO TO 11.
- PERFORM TCM INSPECTION
- Perform TCM input/output signal inspection.
- If NG, recheck TCM pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
OK or NG
- OK >> INSPECTION END
- NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
- DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM
- Check the malfunction items. If any items are damaged, repair or replace damaged parts. Refer to "SYMPTOM CHART ".
OK or NG
- OK >> GO TO 10.
- NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
