Disabling & Activating Air Bag System

WARNING:
Accidental air bag deployment is possible. Personal injury may result. Wait at least 3 minutes after disabling air bag system before servicing. Servicing system before 3-minute period may cause accidental air bag deployment and possible personal injury.
- To disable air bag system, turn ignition off. Disconnect negative, then positive battery cables. Wait at least 3 minutes before working on or near air bag system components.
- To activate air bag system, connect positive, then negative battery cables. Turn ignition on. Check AIR BAG warning light operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
