Fuel Gauge Sending Unit
Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect fuel gauge harness connector at fuel tank. Install an 80-ohm resistor between terminals No. 2 (Black wire) and No. 3 (Yellow/Purple wire) on fuel gauge harness connector. Using a DVOM, connect positive lead to sending unit terminal No. 3, and negative lead to terminal No. 2. See Fig 1 . Measure resistance between indicated terminals with fuel gauge sending unit float in specified positions. See FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT TEST . If resistance is not as specified, replace fuel gauge sending unit.
