Speedometer & Trip Odometer Malfunctioning

If speedometer and trip odometer are malfunctioning, check for the following and repair as necessary:

• Perform self-diagnostic system test. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM  .
• Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). See VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR (VSS)  .
• Faulty VSS circuit. See VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR (VSS) CIRCUIT TEST  .
• Faulty power and/or ground circuits. See POWER SUPPLY & GROUND CIRCUIT CHECK  .
• Faulty combination meter Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC).
• Faulty speedometer.
