Fuel Gauge Warning Indicator Sensor

NOTE: DTC P0180 may be set during test procedure. Erase codes as needed using scan tool. See scan tool manufacturer's instructions.

Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect fuel gauge harness connector at fuel tank. Install an 80-ohm resistor between terminals No. 2 (Black wire) and No. 3 (Yellow/Purple wire) on fuel gauge harness connector. Turn ignition on. If fuel warning indicator light is illuminated, system if functioning correctly. If fuel warning indicator light is not illuminated, inspect bulb and replace as needed.
