Oil Pressure Switch

NOTE: Ensure that oil pressure is within specification before performing this test. See appropriate ENGINE article in ENGINE MECHANICAL.

Disconnect oil pressure switch harness connector. Measure resistance between ground and oil pressure switch terminals. Continuity should exist with engine off. Continuity should not exist with engine running. If continuity is not as specified, replace oil pressure switch.
