Coolant Temperature Gauge

If coolant temperature gauge is malfunctioning, check for the following and repair as necessary:

• Perform self-diagnostic system test. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM  .
• Faulty coolant temperature sending unit. See COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENDING UNIT  under COMPONENT TESTS.
• Faulty coolant temperature gauge. See GAUGE RESISTANCE  under COMPONENT TESTS.
• Faulty coolant temperature gauge circuit. Under SYSTEM TESTS, See COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE CIRCUIT TEST  .
• Faulty combination meter Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC).
• Faulty speedometer.
