Lighting Switch Input Signal Check

Check voltage between smart entrance control unit terminal 34 and ground.

Voltage [V]: 

Condition of lighting switch: 1ST or 2ND Approx. 12 

Condition of lighting switch: OFF 0 

OK or NG 

1. OK: Lighting switch is OK.
2. NG: GO TO 2.

Is 10A fuse (No. 61, located in the fuse and fusible link box) OK?

OK or NG 

1. OK: GO TO 3.
2. NG: Replace fuse.

Check voltage between headlamp battery saver control unit terminal 6, 14 and ground.

Condition of lighting switch: 1ST or 2ND 0 

Condition of lighting switch: OFF Approx. 12 

OK or NG 

1. OK: Check the following. 

   Tail lamp relay

   Harness for open or short between smart entrance control unit and tail lamp relay.

2. NG: GO TO 4.

1. Disconnect headlamp battery saver control unit connector.
2. Check continuity between headlamp battery saver control unit terminal 5, 13 and ground.

   Continuity: 

   Condition of lighting switch: 1ST or 2ND Yes 

   Condition of lighting switch: OFF No 

OK or NG 

1. OK: Check headlamp battery saver control unit.
2. NG: Check the following. 

   Lighting switch

   Harness for open or short between headlamp battery saver control unit terminal 5, 13 and lighting switch terminal 11

   Harness between lighting switch terminal 5 and ground
