Oil Pressure Switch

NOTE: Ensure that oil level and oil pressure are within specification before performing this test. See appropriate article in ENGINES.

Disconnect oil pressure switch harness connector. Measure resistance between ground and oil pressure switch terminals. Continuity should exist with engine off. Start engine and allow to idle. Continuity should not exist with engine running. If continuity is not as specified, replace oil pressure switch.
