One Gauge Malfunctioning (Excluding Speedometer & Trip Odometer Malfunctioning): Tachometer

If tachometer is malfunctioning, check for the following and repair as necessary:

• On I30 and QX4, perform self-diagnostic system test. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM  .
• Faulty engine revolution sensor (tachometer malfunction) or faulty tachometer circuit. See TACHOMETER CIRCUIT TEST  under SYSTEM TESTS.
• Faulty instrument cluster printed circuit.
• Faulty speedometer.
