Coolant Temperature Gauge

If coolant temperature gauge is malfunctioning, check for the following and repair as necessary:

• On I30 and QX4, perform self-diagnostic system test. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM  .
• Faulty coolant temperature sending unit. Under COMPONENT TESTS, see COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENDING UNIT  .
• Faulty coolant temperature gauge. See METER/GAUGE RESISTANCE  under COMPONENT TESTS.
• Faulty coolant temperature gauge circuit. Under SYSTEM TESTS, See COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE CIRCUIT TEST  .
• Faulty instrument cluster printed circuit.
• Faulty speedometer.
