I30 & QX4

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If warning lights operate, go to next step. If warning lights do not operate, check instrument cluster power and ground circuits. See POWER SUPPLY & GROUND CIRCUIT CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  2. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Check screws securing speedometer and printed circuit. See Figure . If screws are tight, replace speedometer or printed circuit as necessary. If screws are loose, tighten as necessary and repeat instrument cluster self-diagnostics. See ENTERING INSTRUMENT CLUSTER SELF-DIAGNOSTIC MODE  .
