Removal & Installation (I30)

Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Disconnect battery cables. Remove steering wheel and driver-side air bag module. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article.
Remove driver-side instrument panel lower trim covers. See Fig 1 . Remove steering column covers and combination switch. Remove instrument cluster lid. Remove instrument cluster retaining screws. Pull instrument cluster back enough to disconnect harness connectors. Disconnect harness connectors and remove instrument cluster. To install, reverse removal procedure.
