Installation (Q45)

  1. To install bearing, first install snap ring into groove of axle housing. Press new wheel bearing assembly into axle housing with a maximum load of 6600 lbs. Install snap ring. Install grease seal. Press wheel hub into axle housing with maximum load of 6600 lbs.
  2. With wheel hub pressed into axle housing, apply 11,000 lbs. of force to wheel hub and rotate both directions 10 times. Rotating force on a spring scale should not exceed 0.4-4.6 lb. (2.0-20.6 N). Install inner grease seal. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
