Valve Stem Oil Seals

Lubricate valve stem oil seal with engine oil. Install oil seal using Oil Seal Installer (J-38958 for intake or J-38971 for exhaust valves). Ensure valve stem oil seal is positioned so distance from top of valve stem oil seal to cylinder head surface is .421" (10.69 mm). See Fig 1 .
