Repair Procedures: Removal
- Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the air cleaner.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER (1.6L) or AIR CLEANER (2.0L)")
- Remove the battery.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY (1.6L) or BATTERY (2.0L)")
- Remove the ECM.
(Refer to Engine Control System - "ECM (1.6L) or ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) (2.0L)")
- Remove the master cylinder.
(Refer to Master Cylinder )
- Remove the vacuum hose (A) after disconnected fixing clip.
- Disconnect the brake booster vacuum pressure sensors a connector (A).
- Remove the snap pin (A) and clevis pin (B).
- Remove the brake booster after loosening the booster mounting nuts (A).
Tightening torque:
16.7 - 25.5 N.m (1.7 - 2.6 kgf.m 12.3 - 18.8 lb-ft)
