Component Inspection

  1. Turn "OFF" the ignition switch.
  2. Connect GDS to DLC (Data Link Cable).
  3. Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
  4. Clear the DTC using GDS.
  5. Step on and off the brake pedal several times.
  6. Check the DTC. Did the DTC return?

    YES 

    • Check for improper installation of SRSCM. If not good, repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
    • Replace it with a new SRSCM and see if it properly operates. If the problem is cleared, put the new SRSCM in place and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    * In a case of replacing the SRSCM, follow the replacement procedure of the DTC B1620 (Internal fault-Replace SRSCM) of the SRSCM and then perform "LONGITUDINAL G SENSOR CALIBRATION" in "Vehicle S/W Management" menu of the GDS. (refer to C128504 )

    NO 

    • Fault can be intermittent, caused by poor connection in IMU (SRSCM) harness or faulty IMU (SRSCM). Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure
