Component Inspection
- Turn "OFF" the ignition switch.
- Connect GDS to DLC (Data Link Cable).
- Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
- Clear the DTC using GDS.
- Step on and off the brake pedal several times.
- Check the DTC. Did the DTC return?
YES
- Check for improper installation of SRSCM. If not good, repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
- Replace it with a new SRSCM and see if it properly operates. If the problem is cleared, put the new SRSCM in place and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
* In a case of replacing the SRSCM, follow the replacement procedure of the DTC B1620 (Internal fault-Replace SRSCM) of the SRSCM and then perform "LONGITUDINAL G SENSOR CALIBRATION" in "Vehicle S/W Management" menu of the GDS. (refer to C128504 )
NO
- Fault can be intermittent, caused by poor connection in IMU (SRSCM) harness or faulty IMU (SRSCM). Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure
