Component Inspection

  1. Turn "OFF" the ignition switch.
  2. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  3. Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
  4. Using a GDS, Clear DTC.
  5. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)" mode again.
  6. Are any DTCs present?

    YES 

    • Replace it with a new TCM and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, place the new TCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Fault can be intermittent, caused by poor connection. Or, ESP (ESC) memory was not cleared after repair. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
