Signal circuit (short): voltage Approx. below 1 Ω Ignition switch: ON Immobilizer module's signal terminal Chassis ground
  1. Is the result within specifications?

    YES

    • Fault can be intermittent, caused by poor contact of connectors between the ICU's and the PCM/ECM's connectors. Or, the ICU memory was not cleared after repair. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor contact, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace relevant component as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
    • Replace the ICU or the PCM/ECM with an usable test sample and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace the component. Then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
    • In case of the ICU or PCM/ECM replacement, perform the 'Leanrt' process using the GDS.

    NO

    • Inspect the power circuit and signal circuit for an open or short. Repair the circuit as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
