Repair Procedures: Replacement
CAUTION:
- Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
Information
- When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
- Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Remove the cowl side trim.
(Refer to Interior Trim - "DOOR SCUFF TRIM ")
- Remove the glover box.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "GLOVE BOX ")
- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the crash pad side cover.

- Remove the floor console assembly.
(Refer to Floor Console - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")
- Remove the center fascia panel.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "CENTER FASCIA PANEL ")
- After loosening the mounting screws, remove the AVN keypad assembly (A).
- Disconnect the AVN keypad connector (A) and start button connector (B).
- Remove the heater & A/C control unit.
(Refer to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning - "HEATER & A/C CONTROL UNIT ")
- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the crash pad side panel (A).

- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the crash pad center garnish [RH].
- After loosening the mounting screws, remove the crash pad center garnish [LH] (A).
- After loosening the mounting screws, remove the center airvent duct [LH] (A).
- Remove the audio and AVN head unit.
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "AUDIO UNIT ")
- After loosening the mounting screws and bolts, remove the glove box housing cover (A).
- To install, reverse removal procedure.
Information
- Make sure the connector are connected in properly.
- Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
