Repair Procedures: Replacement

CAUTION:
  • Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.

Information 

  1. Remove the cowl side trim.

    (Refer to Interior Trim - "DOOR SCUFF TRIM ")

  2. Remove the glover box.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "GLOVE BOX ")

  3. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the crash pad side cover.

  4. Remove the floor console assembly.

    (Refer to Floor Console - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")

  5. Remove the center fascia panel.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "CENTER FASCIA PANEL ")

  6. After loosening the mounting screws, remove the AVN keypad assembly (A).

  7. Disconnect the AVN keypad connector (A) and start button connector (B).

  8. Remove the heater & A/C control unit.

    (Refer to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning - "HEATER & A/C CONTROL UNIT ")

  9. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the crash pad side panel (A).

  10. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the crash pad center garnish [RH].
  11. After loosening the mounting screws, remove the crash pad center garnish [LH] (A).

  12. After loosening the mounting screws, remove the center airvent duct [LH] (A).

  13. Remove the audio and AVN head unit.

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "AUDIO UNIT ")

  14. After loosening the mounting screws and bolts, remove the glove box housing cover (A).

  15. To install, reverse removal procedure.

    Information 

    • Make sure the connector are connected in properly.
    • Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
