Telltale lamp Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition switch ON
  2. Disconnect SRSCM harness connector
 "PAB Telltale lamp" terminal of the SRSCM harness connector Chassis ground
Inspect Battery short Circuit: Voltage 0V
  1. Ignition switch ON
  2. SRSCM, PAB Telltale amp connector: Disconnected
 "PAB Telltale lamp" terminal of the SRSCM harness connector.
Inspect Ground Short Circuit: resistance (Ω) Infinite (Ω)
  1. Ignition switch OFF
  2. SRSCM, PAB Telltale lamp connector: Disconnected
 "PAB Telltale lamp" terminal of the SRSCM harness connector.
  1. Is the measured voltage within specifications?

    YES 

    • Check telltale lamp and connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Check airbag fuse, passenger compartment junction block, harness between junction block and SRSCM. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
