Monitor GDS Data

  1. Ignition switch OFF, connect GDS.
  2. Ignition switch ON and the engine OFF, select "Current Data" mode.
  3. Monitor the "Anchor Driver Pretensioner resistance" parameter on the GDS.

    Specification  : Resistance of Anchor Driver Pretensioner is between 1.0Ω and 7.2Ω

    Reference: 

    In a case of an open in the Anchor Driver Pretensioner circuit: FAIL

    In a case of a short to battery in the Anchor Driver Pretensioner circuit: FAIL

    In a case of a short to ground in the Anchor Driver Pretensioner circuit: FAIL

  4. Is parameter displayed within specifications?

    YES 

    • Displaying no DTC or a DTC with a label "H" (historical) shows that the fault is intermittent caused by poor contact of the part's and/or SRSCM's connector. Or, the SRSCM memory was not cleared after repair.
    • Thoroughly check the battery terminal and all connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
    • Repair as necessary, and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".

    NO 

    • Go to "W/Harness Inspection" procedure.
