Monitor GDS Data
- Ignition switch OFF, connect GDS.
- Ignition switch ON and the engine OFF, select "Current Data" mode.
- Monitor the "Driver SAB resistance" parameter on the GDS.
Specification: Resistance of "Driver SAB" is between 1.29Ω and 7.0Ω
Reference:
In a case of an open in the "Driver SAB" circuit: FAIL
In a case of a short to battery in the "Driver SAB" circuit: FAIL
In a case of a short to ground in the "Driver SAB" circuit: FAIL
- Is parameter displayed within specifications?
YES
- Displaying no DTC or a DTC with a label "H" (historical) shows that the fault is intermittent caused by poor contact of the part's and/or SRSCM's connector. Or, the SRSCM memory was not cleared after repair. Thoroughly check the battery terminal and all connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
- Repair as necessary, and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
NO
- Go to "W/Harness Inspection" procedure.
