Squib Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition switch OFF
  2. Disconnect the (-) terminal cable from the battery and wait for 1 minute or more.
  3. Disconnect the DBPT module and connect the dummy and dummy adapter to the DBPT harness connector.
    NOTE: If the dummy and dummy adaptor is not prepared, use a known-good DBPT or 20 resistor.
  4. Connect the (-) terminal cable to the battery and Ignition switch ON and the engine "OFF" and wait for 30 seconds or more.
  5. Connect the GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC) and clear the DTC with GDS and diagnose again.
  6. Is DTC present problem?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Substitute a known-good DBPT assembly, and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace DBPT and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
