Driver airbag (DAB)

The Driver Air bag module (hereinafter referred to DAB) located at the center of the steering wheel protects the driver by reducing the impact of collision.

DAB consists of an airbag, a pat cover and an inflators.

There are a power, circuit for ignition, a gas generator and a diffuser screen in the inflator.

Airbag reduces impact of collision by filled up gas.

In collision, a pat cover splits and through this crack, an airbag emerges and deploys.

An Inflator generates gas to inflate an airbag.

A Clock spring is located between the steering wheel and the column. It connects the SCSRM to the DAB.

CAUTION: Never measure the resistance of the DAB directly, Any Current of measuring the device may cause unexpected airbag deploy.
