Removal and Installation
- Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "AIR CLEANER ")
- Remove the front bumper beam assembly.
(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "FRONT BUMPER AND RADIATOR GRILLE (EXCEPT HEV) ")
- Remove the air intake shield (A).
Tightening torque:
7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb-ft)
- Remove the intercooler air guard (A).
Tightening torque:
7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb-ft)
- Disconnect the intercooler inlet hose (A).
- Remove the recirculation valve (RCV) (A) & purge pipe (B) from the intercooler.
Tightening torque:
Recirculation valve (RCV) Bolt: 0.8 ~ 1.2 kgf.m
Purge pipe Bolts: 1.9 ~ 2.5 kgf.m
- Loosen the intercooler upper mounting bracket (A).
- Remove the intercooler assembly.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
