Removal and Installation
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Remove the engine cover.
(Refer to the Engine And Transaxle Assembly - "ENGINE COVER ")
- Remove the air duct and air intake hose.
(Refer to the Intake And Exhaust System - AIR CLEANER ")
- Disconnect the intercooler inlet hose (A).NOTE:
- When separate the intercooler inlet pipe, pull out the quick connector clamp (A).
- When working with quick connector type intercooler hoses and pipes, be careful not to touch or detach the rubber seal (B) inside.
- When installing, Align the marks of the intercooler pipes/hoses and assembling parts.
- When mounting, Install it by pushing it all the way until the nipple clicks.
- Disconnect the intercooler outlet hose (A).
- Disconnect the fuel hose (A) and PCSV hose (B).
- Remove the engine wiring connectors and harness clamps around the intake manifold and then remove the connector brackets and wiring protector.
- Disconnect the vacuum hoses (A).
- Loosen the vacuum pipe (A) mounting bolts, and then obtain working space to remove the intake manifold.
- Disconnect the recirculation valve (RCV) hose (A).
- Remove the wiring bracket (A).
- Remove the breather hose bracket (A).
- Remove the intake manifold stay (A).
Tightening torque:
18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb-ft)
- Remove the intake manifold (A) with the gasket.
Tightening torque:
18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb-ft)
NOTE:- Be careful not to allow the foreign substances to enter the inlet port.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.NOTE:
- When installing the intake manifold, tighten the bolts and nuts with pre-torque first, and then tighten the bolts and nuts with the specified torque as the sequence shown.
