Squib Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect the (-) terminal cable from the battery and wait for 1 minute or more.
  3. Disconnect the Anchor Pretensioner front-Driver and connect the dummy and dummy adapter to the Anchor Pretensioner front-Driver harness connector.
    NOTE: If the dummy and dummy adaptor is not prepared, use a known-good Anchor Pretensioner front-Driver or 2Ω resistor.
  4. Connect the (-) terminal cable to the battery and Ignition switch ON and the engine OFF and wait for 30 seconds or more.
  5. Connect the GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC) and clear the DTC with GDS and diagnose again.
  6. Is DTC present problem?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Substitute a known-good Anchor Pretensioner front-Driver assembly, and check for proper operation.

    If the problem is corrected, replace Anchor Pretensioner front-Driver and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
