Main Harness Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition switch "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal cable from the battery and wait at least one minutes.
  3. Disconnect KAB connector and SRSCM main harness connector.
    WARNING: Lay Removed KAB facing upward for unexpected air bag deploy.
  4. Measure the resistance at both ends of the terminal "High" and "Low" of the KAB harness connector.

    Specification  : approx. below 1 Ω

  5. Is the measured resistance within specifications?

    YES 

    • Substitute a known-good SRSCM, and check for proper operation.

      If the problem is corrected, replace SRSCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

      NOTE: If you strike or spin the SRSCM at the IG "ON" state, the seat-belt pretensioner, curtain-airbag or side-airbag could be unfolded and bring on danger. Handle it with care.

    NO 

    • Substitute the SRSCM main harness and check for proper operation.

    If the problem is corrected, replace SRSCM main harness and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
