Monitor GDS Data

  1. Ignition switch "OFF", connect GDS.
  2. Ignition switch "ON" and the engine OFF, select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
  3. Monitor diagnostic trouble code and present of trouble code.
  4. Using a GDS, clear the DTC.

  5. Is DTC present problem?

    Yes 

  6. When all of airbags are expanded by forcefully using a scrap tool, this DTC is set up. After checking if all of airbags are expanded, replace airbags which have been expanded with new ones.
  7. DTC caused by deployment of all air bag. Substitute with a SRSCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace SRSCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
    NOTE: If you strike or spin the SRSCM at the IG "ON" state, the seat-belt pretensioner, Anchor Pretensioner, curtain-airbag or side-airbag could be unfolded and bring on danger. Handle it with care.
