Monitor GDS Data

  1. Ignition switch "OFF", connect GDS.
  2. Ignition switch "ON" and the engine OFF, select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
  3. Monitor diagnostic trouble code and present of trouble code.
  4. Using a GDS, clear the DTC.

  5. Is parameter displayed within specifications?

    YES 

    • DTC caused by deployment of front air bag and Side airbag Driver. Substitute with a SRSCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace SRSCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
    NOTE: If you strike or spin the SRSCM at the IG "ON" state, the seat-belt pretensioner, curtain-airbag or side-airbag could be unfolded and bring on danger. Handle it with care.
