Component Inspection

  1. Ignition switch "ON" and the engine "OFF" and Using a GDS, clear the DTC.
  2. Ignition switch "OFF".
  3. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least one minutes.
  4. Disconnect Occupant Classification System (OCS) ECU connector.
  5. Substitute the Occupant Classification System (OCS) ECU and check for proper operation.
  6. Is DTC present problem?

    YES 

    • Substitute a known-good SRSCM, and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace SRSCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute a known-good Occupant Classification System (OCS) ECU, and check for proper operation.

    If the problem is corrected, replace Occupant Classification System (OCS) ECU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
