DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Check clutch performance
  1. Poor Connection
  2. Faulty Clutch Actuator
  3. Faulty CSC
  4. Oil pressure system fault
  5. Clutch Cover
  6. Clutch disc
CASE 1 Enable conditions
  • Ignition Key "ON"
  • Aux, Battery Voltage is between 9V and 16V
  • HPCU Ready
  • HEV Ready
  • No CAN Communication Fault
  • The engine clutch is not in the normal learning mode.
  • No system/engine speed/motor speed fault
  • Gear position = P or N
  • PT mode = EV
  • Control Phase = Open or Release
  • Motor speed is higher than 500 RPM (Hys. 100 RPM)
Threshold value
  • Motor speed - engine speed value is 150 RPM above stays for 5 seconds
CASE 2 Enable conditions
  • Ignition Key "ON"
  • Aux, Battery Voltage is between 9V and 16V
  • HPCU Ready
  • HEV Ready
  • No CAN Communication Fault
  • The engine clutch is not in either the normal or EOL learning mode.
  • No system/engine speed/motor speed fault
  • PT mode = Engine Idle
  • Put a gear lever to P position
  • The engine clutch is released (= 0 Bar)
  • DCT does not display Fail safe and the vehicle is not actuated
Threshold value
  • Motor speed - engine speed value is 400 RPM above stays for 5 seconds.
CASE 3 Enable conditions
  • Ignition Key "ON"
  • Aux, Battery Voltage is between 9V and 16V
  • HPCU Ready
  • HEV Ready
  • No CAN Communication Fault
  • The engine clutch is not in either the normal or EOL learning mode.
  • No system/engine speed/motor speed fault
  • Vehicle Speed is lower than 4 kph
  • PT mode = Engine Idle
  • Put a gear lever to D position
  • DCT does not display Fail safe and the engine is not in the cranking state (motor, engine clutch slip)
  • Engine speed is higher than 500 RPM (Hys. 100 RPM)
  • Either set the engine in the cranking state or begin driving.
  • The engine clutch is released (= 0 Bar) and the engine clutch is in the Open state
Threshold value
  • Motor speed - engine speed value is 120 RPM above stays for 4 seconds.
CASE 4 Enable conditions
  • Ignition Key "ON"
  • Aux, Battery Voltage is between 9V and 16V
  • HPCU Ready
  • HEV Ready
  • No CAN Communication Fault
  • No system/engine speed/motor speed fault
  • Put a gear lever to P position
  • The engine clutch completed the EOL learning.
  • Actuation is not conducted.
  • Release the brake/accelerator pedal.
  • Set PT mode to Engine Stop or Engine clutch Open
  • The engine soaking remains longer than 4 hours
  • Inspect relevant components within 15 sec after setting HEV ready

Threshold value
  • Run the motor at a 150 RPM. If the motor speed exceeds 50 RPM for 3 sec. and HSG speed exceeds 125 RPM, it can be an intermittent fault.
  • Run the engine (put the gear to Idle, N position). Monitor the engine and motor's sync for 3 sec. and confirm the trouble if there is an error in the sync process (after checking the intermittent fault).
CASE 5 Enable conditions
  • Ignition Key "ON"
  • Aux, Battery Voltage is between 9V and 16V
  • HPCU Ready
  • HEV Ready
  • No CAN Communication Fault
  • The engine clutch is not in either the normal or EOL learning mode
  • No system/engine speed/motor speed fault
  • Put a gear lever to D position
  • Set the control phase to MAX Pressure or Lockup
Threshold value
  • Engine and motor speed are out of sync for more than 5 sec.
